But don't miss as well the less famous greek islands that could still catch your eye with their wonderful landscapes ; Naxos, Paros, Rhodes, Kefalonia, Chios, Ios and Elafonisi. The easiest way is to take a boat from Patras that leads you to the main islands of the archipelago.

The Greek cuisine is caracterized by fresh and local products that make these plates perfect for smmer. Amongst the most famous and traditional Greek culinar specialities, you can find Tzatziki which is a yoghurt purée with grated cucumber, garlic, onion and olive oil, Gyros pita which is a kind of sandwich made with meat, tomato, onion and Tzatziki sauce in a pita bread, the Greek salad which is a composed salad with tomato, cucumber, olive oil, olives, onion, feta, pepper and origano, and eventually Moussaka which is a layer plate made with layers of aubergine, onion and tomato and layers of minced sheep meat. Besides, you can try delicious food products such as fresh fishes, grilled meats, courgette balls, octopus, feta, halloumi and many other appetising cheeses.
